Sun Ag LLC, located in Fellsmere, Florida, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to join our Administrative Team. This candidate will ideally be an expert in Human Resources Management while also having knowledge in areas of Safety and Risk Management. This candidate will be able to multi-task both roles and provide leadership and guidance to different leadership teams and departments within the company identify opportunities for process improvement and potential areas of risk.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
Educational Background Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following and/or related degree paths: Human Resources / Business or related field
· Minimum of (3) to (5) years of related/similar experience
· OSHA Related Training
· Agriculture and/or Construction industry experience a plus
Work Experience Qualifications:
· Strong written and verbal skills
· Must be a strong a communicator in both in-person and telephone communication
· Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements.
· Must have experience working worker's compensation claims

· Must have valid and current Florida Driver’s License and be able to comply with company vehicle operating requirements.
· Requires proficiency with basic computer programs
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develops and disseminates Company Safety programs, policies, and procedures
· Conducts employee Safety training at multiple job-sites
· Maintains compliance with construction industry OSHA/MSHA regulatory requirements
· Maintains compliance with agriculture OSHA and WPS regulatory requirements
· Monitors Company regulatory compliance with Federal, State and local employment laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations
· Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies
· Onboards new hires
· Conducts background checks and MVR’s
· Uses E-Verify to ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Verification; periodically audits Form I-9.
· Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
· Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary actions and terminations
· Ensures compliance with Company Drug Free Workplace policy
· Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges
· Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews)
· Acts as an employee relations specialist
· Completes Auto/Equipment Accident Report Form and investigates cause
· Maintains employee personnel files
· Reports, investigates, maintains, and monitors all workers’ compensation case files; follows-up on open cases
· Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment cancellation or changes
· Reviews and processes employee benefits payment invoices
· Performs other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Works in normal office environment. When conducting on site construction or agriculture location visits, potential exposure to equipment movement hazards if proper safety procedures are not followed.
