About the Role
The Technical Manager at Sun Automation is responsible for providing expert technical support to independent and integrated box making companies within North America. As a key member of our team, you will be focused on supporting SUN and its Partners corrugated machinery, with a strong emphasis on Kolbus Machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with customers and prospects to assist in business development and build outside sales teams by providing technical expertise.
- Evaluate customer requirements, including installation locations, mounting requirements, engineering drawings, CAD data, GD&T, and inspection plans.
- Generate sales revenues through technical presentations and demonstrating how our products meet customer needs.
- Prepare monthly reports to sales management and engineering on new product development recommendations and improvements to existing equipment.
- Attend trade shows and conferences as required.
Requirements:
- A motivated, self-starter who can work with minimal supervision to complete time-sensitive tasks.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including CRMs and Microsoft Office products.
- BASIC knowledge of CAD is helpful.
- Able to travel up to 75% of the time in North America.
