Job Summary:
Sun Mountain Lodge, a premier resort known for its breathtaking views and exceptional hospitality, is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to support our banquet operations. This role is responsible for overseeing banquet events, coordinating with staff and clients, and ensuring outstanding service for all guests. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate gatherings.
- Supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and setup crews, ensuring efficient and professional service.
- Work closely with the Banquet Manager, Culinary Team, and Sales Department to meet client expectations and maintain high service standards.
- Oversee event setup, breakdown, and clean-up to ensure venue readiness and cleanliness.
- Monitor food and beverage service, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor banquet staff, providing guidance on service techniques, hospitality standards, and operational procedures.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage banquet inventory, including linens, tableware, and supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties related to banquet operations.
- Uphold Sun Mountain Lodge’s commitment to excellence and provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet operations, catering, or event management, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and management.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, banquet setup, and event execution.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- ServSafe and/or MAST (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) certification is a plus.
