Job Summary:
Sun Mountain Lodge, a premier destination known for its exceptional hospitality and stunning natural surroundings, is seeking a skilled and passionate Food and Beverage Manager to lead our dining and event operations. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the Food and Beverage department, including restaurant operations, bar services, catering, and event planning. The ideal candidate will ensure that guests receive outstanding dining experiences while maintaining high standards of service, quality, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Food and Beverage team, including restaurant staff, bartenders, and event coordinators.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance team skills and ensure alignment with the Lodge’s standards.
2. Guest Experience:
- Ensure a memorable dining experience for all guests by maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality.
3. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the Food and Beverage budget, focusing on cost control, revenue generation, and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, costs, and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop promotions and strategies that maximize revenue.
4. Menu Development & Quality Control:
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to design and update menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Ensure consistency in food and beverage quality, presentation, and service across all outlets.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and minimizing waste.
5. Event Management:
- Coordinate and manage all food and beverage aspects of special events, weddings, and conferences.
- Work with clients to tailor menus and services to meet their specific needs and preferences.
- Ensure smooth execution of events, from planning to delivery, ensuring guest satisfaction.
6. Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the Rooms Division.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Guest Services.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service and driving financial performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the property for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
