What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procedure Scheduler position at Sun Pain Management?
Growing Pain Management group is looking for a Procedure Scheduler to join our team. Must be Dependable People-oriented and able to adapt and be flexible. MUST HAVE PAIN MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE!
Responsibilities:
- Initiates procedure scheduling process upon request from physicians/medical asst
- Helps with clearance chasing as needed
- Prioritizes and coordinates logistics with insurance company, physician and patient to schedule
- Maintains effective communication with patients and providers regarding procedure
- Documents all processes and interactions
- Contributes to other shared teams tasks such as add-ons, fax inbox, recalls, call backs, covering a teammates desk while out, etc.
- Maintains reliable attendance, punctuality, and productivity during work shift
- Demonstrates respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment
- Follows company policies, procedures, and values to contribute to company culture
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- One (1) year EMR experience, Eclinical works preferred
- One (1) year of clinic experience (2 preferred)
- One (1) year surgery/procedure scheduling experience (2 preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Effective communication demonstrated by the ability to read, interpret, comprehend and comply with written and verbal communication with patients, co-workers and the general public in person and over the phone.
- Ability to perform a variety of assignments requiring some exercise of independent judgment
- Moderate computer, typing, faxing, scanning and telephone efficiency
