The Sun Prairie Area School District is looking to hire a .6 Teacher of the Blind or Visually Impaired for the 2025-26 school year. We are willing to hire or to work with an independent contractor.
Sun Prairie is seeking a teacher of the Blind and Visually impaired to contract hourly with our district to provide services to our students who are blind or visually impaired across all ages (3-21). The position will be itinerant, meeting the needs of our students in their natural environments and will involve teaming with classroom teachers, special education teachers, and para professionals to create supportive environments in which our students thrive. Currently we are planning for 17-21 students with needs for the upcoming school year.
We are willing to hire this FTE or to develop a long term relationship with an independent contractor, providing stability for the professional as well as the school district while allowing the contractor to work with other surrounding districts to serve this very, very low incidence population.
