What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Manager position at Sun Valley Resort?
Sun Valley Resort is seeking an experienced Revenue Manager to optimize the revenue potential of our portfolio, including two hotels, condominiums, private homes, two ski mountains, rentals, lessons, golf facilities, ice shows, and dining venues. This strategic role is critical for maximizing revenue and profitability, ensuring competitive pricing, and enhancing overall guest satisfaction. This role coordinates closely with leaders around the resort to cross-sell products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Increase overall revenue across all lines of business
- Implement pricing strategies for ski operations, accommodations, recreational activities, and dining
- Ensure coordination among various departments to maximize cross-selling opportunities
- Analyzing market trends, booking patterns, and competitive pricing to adjust rates
- Developing accurate revenue forecasts and budgets
- Establishing pricing strategies for accommodation, lift tickets, season passes, golf green fees, event tickets, and menu items
- Implementing yield management techniques to maximize revenue during high-demand periods and optimize occupancy during low-demand periods
- Regularly reviewing financial performance, occupancy rates, ADR, RevPAR, and other key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
- Working closely with the operations, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive strategies and effective execution
- Leveraging revenue management software and tools to enhance decision-making processes
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in revenue management, preferably within the ski industry.
- Proven track record of managing Revenue Management Software along with Operational software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Understanding the seasonality of the ski industry and creatively maximizing potential.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the monthly P&Ls
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
