What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tennis Center Maintenance position at Sun Valley Resort?
The Tennis Center Maintenance team will work on various activities related to maintaining the Tennis and Pickleball courts, including surrounding areas, and perform related tasks as required. The team will provide a clean, safe, and secure environment within the Tennis Center so guests can feel relaxed and at home.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Professionally maintain courts and ensure the environment is consistently safe for all who use the facility
- Complete assigned tasks ranging from simple to more complex, such as blowing tennis courts, blowing off sidewalks, pulling weeds, cleaning net headbands, and helping hang windscreens and nets
- Operate, maintain, and clean equipment and power tools under operating instructions and safety rules
- Always maintain the appropriate levels of tennis area amenities. This includes, but is not limited to, making sure cups, ice, and coolers on the courts are filled throughout the day. Empty trash containers daily, ensuring no trash or debris on the courts
- To conduct oneself at all times in a manner of professionalism
- This includes wearing an approved uniform and nametag
- Must effectively communicate and correspond with the Director of Tennis to coordinate, acknowledge, prioritize, document and complete work requested
- Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in the respective areas
- Assist fellow Team members when needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Can work well under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks at any given time, and focus attention on detail
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
