Job Title : Senior Human Resources Generalist

Pay rate : $85K-$105K per year

Duration : Direct Hire

Location : San Diego, CA 92123

Schedule : Monday-Friday, Hybrid, 3x a week onsite required

Key Responsibilities :

Employee relations :

Provides exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact concerning day-to-day HR inquiries on policies, procedures, and processes.
Partners with managers to address employee relations, concerns, and / or performance issues, mediating conflicts and investigating workplace issues.

HRIS management, reporting, and analysis :

Maintains and updates all employee profile information in HRIS.

Maintains all HR-related electronic records, forms, and template.

Manages HRIS vendor.

Generates HR reports for management as needed and analyzes data to assist with decision-making.

Hiring and recruitment :

Partners with internal managers to develop job descriptions and maintains job description database and active postings.

Oversees end-to-end recruiting process including recruiting agency vendor management, updating applicant tracking system, and recruiting.

Facilitates screening and arranges interviews with hiring managers.

Onboarding / offboarding :

Conducts internal employee onboarding and offboarding.

Coordinates with managers on any client on- or offboarding support.

Performance management :

Manages annual performance review process including administration, communication, and tracking process completion.

Benefits administration :

Manages employee benefits programs, portals, and support vendors including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave-of-absence administration.

Answers benefit eligibility and payroll questions, and researches and resolves issues.

Compliance and policy implementation :

Ensures company complies with federal, state, and local labor laws and requirements.

Ensures employee handbook and company policies are up to date and compliant and manages version control annually.

Compensation management :

Assists management with compensation benchmarking and annual salary planning.

Training and development :

Maintains learning management modules and ensures all required trainings are incorporated into the system and completed.

Required Skills / Abilities :

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.

Capability to analyze data and interpret information to assist in making informed decisions.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Self-directed and motivated.

Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal employment regulations.

Ability to use HRIS at administrator level.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.

Five to seven years related HR experience.

ADP Workforce Now experience required.

MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.

Regulated utility industry experience preferred.

Professional services, consulting services, or staffing agency experience preferred.

Experience with Paychex is useful.

HRIS implementation experience is useful.

As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.
