What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Compliance Technician position at SUNBELT SOLOMON SERVICES, LLC?
The Environmental Compliance Technician is responsible for compliance and management of regulated electrical equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Complete production/output levels for the day/week.
- Confirm unit details match continuation sheet and fix discrepancies.
- Print and use WHSE reports to confirm that all units are physically in their assigned areas.
- Report discrepancies to Environmental Compliance Coordinator or Environmental Manager and resolve from unit information found in Syspro.
- Pull oil samples and decide if unit needs tested and tagged.
- Load trailers with regulated and non-regulated equipment to deliver for off-site disposal.
- Identify if units have been evacuated of SF6 gas, follow SOP to ensure unit is properly emptied. Elevate questions to Environmental Compliance Coordinator.
- Proper use of PPE when processing units and materials.
- Promptly respond to requests by EH&S Department.
- Maintain compliance by consulting EH&S Management/SOP with questions regarding unlabeled and untagged equipment.
