Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Near East Brunswick, New Jersey
Caseload: Middle School
Start Date: ASAP - End of School Year
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hrs/wk (7:50 AM - 3:05 PM)
Grade: 6th Grade (Up to 12 Students)
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support 6th-grade students with multiple disabilities and/or autism. Experience preferred but not required. Must be willing to undergo Handle with Care training (provided). Responsibilities include attending meetings, professional development, parent/teacher conferences, and other school events.
Requirements:
- SPED License: Teacher of the Handicap or Teacher of Students with Disabilities certificate
- Elementary K-6 certificate
- Bachelors degree in special education or related field; masters preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with special education preferred
