What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Service Center Operations position at Suncoast Credit Union?
Responsibilities:
- Guide branch teams on how to implement consultative interactions with members to offer solutions and achieve financial well-being
- Ensure the effectiveness of lobby leadership for problem resolution
- Assist the Vice President of Service Center Operations with the planning, execution, and development of business initiatives
- Establish performance goals for assigned district
- Guide service center managers in establishing performance goals for their area of responsibility and developing action plans to reach stated goals
- Provide development opportunities to mentor and guide reporting managers
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Service Center Operations to determine and maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Cultivate a strong team by building trust among staff
- Develop policies, procedures, and systems for the branches and ensure staff is knowledgeable or notified of any changes
- Assist senior management with regulatory compliance to ensure the credit union is in accordance with applicable laws and government regulations
- Ensure service centers follow security and internal audit procedures resulting in minimal to no audit findings
- Foster the “All Team” culture within the organization by providing open lines of communication and cooperation between all areas
- Cultivate a service and sales culture within the service centers to attain established goals
- Develop, monitor, and maintain the budget for areas of responsibility
- Participate in the overall strategic planning for Suncoast Credit Union
- Represent Suncoast Credit Union at community events
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements)
- 5 years of management experience with a financial institution preferred
- Strong organization, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage areas of responsibility and attain goals set for the district
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems or situations
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, the Board of Directors, and government regulators
- Ability to comprehensibly communicate policies, practices, and procedures to direct reports and stakeholders
- Local travel required (up to 50%) with some overnight travel
