The Manager of Digital Product is responsible for leading the development and delivery of innovative solutions that meet business goals and serve members. This role involves managing and mentoring a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts while ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, customers, and development teams. The ideal candidate will employ strong business principles to drive the product lifecycle and foster a high-performing team environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure product objectives align with business goals
  • Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring team alignment with organizational goals and priorities
  • Provide guidance on best practices for translating strategies and business objectives into clearly defined requirements
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members
  • Partner with key stakeholders and leaders across the organization to define and deliver the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to gather member feedback and identify opportunities or gaps
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance and management of product backlogs, ensuring clarity and prioritization based on business value, feasibility, and member needs
  • Guide analysis, identification, and management of risks, blockers, and dependencies
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to define clear acceptance criteria
  • Ensure continuous backlog refinement and alignment with changing business priorities
  • Ensure solutions and implemented services work as expected and provide business and strategic outcomes based on documented requirements
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and status updates to stakeholders
  • Facilitate alignment across teams, ensuring timely delivery of product increments
  • Manage product and process artifacts, documents, and FAQs to provide stakeholders and member servicing areas with readily available, up-to-date knowledge information
  • Remove impediments and drive the team toward delivery excellence on-time, on-budget and within agreed upon expectations
  • Incorporate customer feedback into the development process to enhance user experience
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and identify areas for improvement
  • Define and track key product metrics to evaluate success and drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for stakeholders, demonstrating ROI and product value
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, managers, and team members
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences to ensure clarity and understanding of product goals and objectives
  • Review and recommend new methods or procedures to make daily operations more efficient
  • Perform considerable short-term planning, scheduling, and coordinating to develop and implement business objectives
  • Set goals for assigned teams to achieve operational and strategic results
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities for directly reporting staff
  • Cultivate strong working relationships, build trust among team members, and respond appropriately to employees' concerns
  • Assist with the development, monitoring, and maintenance of the annual budget
  • Assist with regulatory compliance to ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable laws and government regulations
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise
  • Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
  • Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in product management, within an Agile environment
  • Expert-level understanding of Product Ownership and Business Analysis to lead design of end-to-end experiences
  • Proven experience with product lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong knowledge of the PDLC (Product Development Life Cycle)
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to foster collaboration, exceptional problem-solving and research aptitude, and the ability to respond quickly to changing demands while maintaining effective management
  • Ability to stay connected and engaged in the industry’s latest trends and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical, customer, and business priorities
  • Experience with customer discovery, , and data-driven decision-making member valued products for optimal adoption, engagement and usage
  • Preferred certifications; Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or Pragmatic Institute
  • Excellent organization, prioritization and analytical skills to effectively manage areas of responsibility and attain organizational goals
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems or situations
  • Ability to positively influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
