Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, quality care to our clients and maintain a high standard of patient care.
- Discharge patients, fill prescriptions, draw blood, obtain vitals, assist in inducing and maintaining patients under sedation or anesthesia.
- IV catheter placement and maintenance, medication administration, assist with surgical procedures, and emergency services (CPR, unaided catheterization/intubation, drug administration).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years as a Veterinary Technician/Nurse. CVT or RVT strongly preferred.
- Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
- Prior experience in Emergency and/or Urgent Care preferred.
Skills:
- Effective communication with clients and staff members.
- Ability to safely lift objects or pets of at least 50lbs.
- Ability to work with or without direct supervision.
- Restrain and control cats and dogs of any temperament.
- Recognize concerning behaviors in pets.
- Strong organizational skills and knowledge of hospital procedures.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $23 - $25/hr plus differential.
- Salary commensurate with experience level.
Schedule:
- Part-time
- Will require Overnight AND Weekend Shifts
