Join our Edmonton refinery's learning and competency team as a Learning Advisor, where you'll collaborate with leaders to elevate the individual and collective competency of our production and maintenance teams. You will also work closely with the enterprise to manage projects that require knowledge of front-line tasks to develop best in class learning programs.

Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in plant or maintenance operations
- Comprehensive knowledge of instructional design to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate learning programs
- Strong interpersonal, team, and communication skills, including excellent verbal and written English, to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision and under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment while prioritizing and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of Workday / Learning Management Systems (LMS) and computer-based training platforms. This includes high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Certifications considered an asset include:
- Journeyman Trade Certification, Accreditation
- Certificate in Adult Education, Training Certification
- Project Management Certificate
- Equivalent Industry / Technical certification
- Provide high-quality service, support and/or advisory for learning and competency matters at the Edmonton Refinery. Specifically, working directly with leaders to develop learning solutions and competency requirements for operations and maintenance personnel
- Collaborates with stakeholders (site and enterprise) to develop and maintain training and competency materials ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies, standards and procedures
- Supports the processing of training records using the enterprise Learning Management System (LMS)
- Establishes, measures performance and reports on learning goals, objectives, and targets
- Leads the development and stewardship of the annual training plan and budget
- Represents the Learning and competence team and provides timely and accurate information to support audits and assurance efforts
- Coordinates 3rd party training activities, training logistics, and administrative duties related to training setup
- Works independently while following established systems and processes, and actively supports continual improvement efforts in the manage competence process
- You will work out of our Sherwood Park Location
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
