Position Overview: The Vice President of Finance and Operations will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role will oversee financial and business operations, including strategic financial planning, budget management, compliance, reporting, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with a proven track record of building scalable financial processes in high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
- Partner with the executive team to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational and financial efficiencies.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to optimize financial performance.
- Analyze market trends and data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Operations, Accounting and Compliance:
- Real Estate Operations to include oversight, management and process improvement in transaction coordination, escrow and closings
- Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership:
- Build and manage a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Capital Management:
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment strategies.
- Support fundraising efforts, including investor relations and due diligence processes.
- Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in real estate, technology, or high-growth companies is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to implement scalable systems and processes in a dynamic environment.
