Job qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital printing processes, a proved record in operation HP Latex Printers or similar, experience with Onyx RIP Software, and knowledge of operation Zund flatbed cutter technology.
- Experience in wide format digital printing shop Required, 3 years’ experience preferred.
- Experience in running and maintaining digital printers Required, 3 years’ experience preferred.
- Experience with Zund flatbed cutter/ router, 3 years’ experience preferred.
- Experience with cold lamination, 3 years’ experience preferred.
- Vast knowledge in application, substrates, and finishing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation, bilingual preferred.
- Must be able to read and follow workorders, detailed oriented, and must be able to read a tape measure.
- Hands-on, coachable person, and troubleshooting skills.
- Operator forklift.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Operate HP 3000, HP 2000R Latex printers to produce high quality large format prints. Maintain and trouble shoot printers as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate Zund flatbed cutter to finish all printed products.
- Prepare files for printing using Onyx Rip software, including color correction, scaling, and layout.
- Perform quality checks on all printed materials to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Follow workorders for material specifications, quantity to produce, proper size, finishing requirements and color consistency and color matching.
- Proper use of materials for the best yields/layouts and reduce waste.
- Package finished products for shipping or delivery.
- Follow established procedures and quality standards.
- Manage inventory of materials, inks, and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Type and Benefits:
- Full-time.
- 8 Hour shifts Monday to Friday, overtime weekends if needed.
