Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or promotions for guest awareness.
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients to educate guests and make recommendation.
- Assist guests with inquiries in a timely manner and with a cheerful disposition.
- Seek out ways to provide additional assistance and service to all guests, co-workers and management.
- Apply reasoning to variety of situations resulting in successful outcomes for co-workers and guest.
- Take phone orders ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery or pick up.
- Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
- Perform basic math to accurately manage till, point of sale transactions, inventory, etc.
- Accurately handle money in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Execute food and beverage service to guests ensuring all Sundance standards for quality, recipes, measurements, preparation, and presentation are met.
- Ensure safety measures and health code standards for food and beverage handling are upheld.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages in Utah. (As dictated by Beverage Department and State and local laws).
- Knowledge of beverages (i.e. beers, wines, liquors, etc.) with ability to communicate with guests and staff.
- Remain up-to-date on Hotel current events and the hours of operation of all food and beverage outlets.
- Ensure that the area is always clean and in good repair, with responsibility for informing Management as needed for maintenance and/or cleaning assistance.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures through performance and decision making.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to use point-of-sale system.
- Must possess or obtain a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
- Level II: Must possess or obtain a valid alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
