Key Responsibilities:
Manage Daily Service:
- Oversee daily restaurant floor operations, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued.
- Lead the FOH team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain a visible presence, assisting servers, bartenders, and hosts as needed.
Staff Management:
- Create and manage FOH schedules to ensure shifts are appropriately staffed.
- Support team growth by providing training and encouraging accountability for service standards.
- Lead pre-shift meetings to align the team with daily goals and updates.
Order Management:
- Handle FOH orders, including beer & wine, coffee, non-alcoholic beverages, and dry goods.
- Manage inventory levels and supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor product quality, maintain accurate stock counts, and manage storage.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce California Health Code standards, ensuring food safety and sanitation protocols are upheld.
- Regularly inspect FOH areas to ensure they are clean and organized.
- Maintain food safety logs and records.
Cash Handling:
- Manage the vault log, end-of-day cash deposits, and staff meal payments.
- Conduct end-of-day checkouts with servers, collecting cash owed to the house.
- Ensure accurate recording of all cash transactions.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Set the tone for excellent customer service by demonstrating a guest-first attitude.
- Respond to guest feedback and reviews, both online and in person.
Administrative Tasks:
- Track daily sales, guest counts, labor costs, and cash flow.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to meet operational goals and budget targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a floor manager or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with California Health Code regulations.
- Experience with inventory management and vendor relations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for exceptional customer service.
- Experience with cash handling and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
