Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, a generation and transmission utility serving Central and Western Kansas, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant in Hays, KS or Great Bend, KS. You will get the opportunity to use your networking skills by collaborating with all departments at Sunflower and a large variety of external entities on invoices, check disbursements, purchase orders, and payment processes. The successful candidate will also utilize their problem-solving skills when reconciling invoices and purchase orders, while also using their attention to detail to maintain a variety of reports. There is never a slow day in financial services!

Qualifications:
- High school diploma and three years progressively responsible bookkeeping/accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Post-secondary training or education in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.

We strongly encourage candidates to review all the information, including sample test brochures, and to use the available practice tests before taking the actual test, available here:

Practice tests provide sample questions and detailed discussions of the correct answers. It is important to take the practice test as you would the actual one, with similar intensity and concentration. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer.
Note: EEI does not allow access to the actual tests. Testing sessions are held at various locations.
