What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Resident Services position at Sungarden Terrace?
We are looking for an organized and proactive Director of Resident Services to join Sungarden Terrace, a boutique Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. In this key role, you will work closely with the Facility’s Administrator to oversee daily operations, uphold the highest standards of care, and cultivate a warm, supportive environment for residents and staff alike. You will engage regularly with clients, vendors, and external partners to ensure seamless operations, while cultivating a positive and collaborative environment within the Community.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support in ensuring compliance with state reporting and documentation requirements.
- Oversee office procedures and supervise staff to maintain operational efficiency.
- Manage staff scheduling to always guarantee adequate coverage.
- Supervise, train, and develop the front desk team, fostering exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate new hire orientations and facilitate employee onboarding, including scheduling and preparing necessary materials.
- Verify payroll submissions, address HR-related inquiries, track employee attendance, and overtime.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure the highest quality of service for residents.
- Developing and managing the budget for the resident services department.
- Creating and implementing strategies to improve resident satisfaction.
- Providing training and development opportunities for staff.
- Responding to resident complaints and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Assessing resident needs and developing responsive programs.
- Conducting assessments for new residents and providing hands-on care.
- Support monthly rent-roll management and assist with tenant rent collections.
- Handle vendor invoices and ensure their timely submission to accounts payable.
- Perform additional duties as directed by your supervisor or Corporate Office.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Title 22 Regulations.
- An associate or bachelor's degree is preferred, or a combination of education and experience in supervising teams within senior living or hospitality environments.
- A minimum of three years' experience in senior living, hospitality, or a related industry, encompassing billing, office management, customer relations, staff training, and supervision.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with proven capacity to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass required background clearances as mandated by government regulations.
