Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of facilities and equipment through routine maintenance and repairs. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
- Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and facility.
- Oversee and perform any maintenance, modifications, and/or system upgrades of equipment
- Diagnose equipment-related error conditions and repairs appropriately
- Track maintenance activities and inventory.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on various systems in facility including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Collaborate with team members to improve overall facility and equipment maintenance processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 1 year of experience OR associate's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of experience as maintenance technician OR high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience as maintenance technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or recycling equipment systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Complete technical and operational knowledge of industrial mechanical components and systems
- Experience in the development of preventive maintenance programs
- Experience in equipment/machine maintenance with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ability to operate independently, to multi-task, and to prioritize quickly
