As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee our oil filling and packaging operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality in every product.
Job Summary
The Production Operations Supervisor will oversee the Oil Filling Team and Warehouse Teams, ensuring smooth and efficient production, packaging, and fulfillment processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and data-driven decision-making. The supervisor will work closely with the production team to maintain product quality, compliance with state regulations, and timely order fulfillment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or production, leadership experience, and knowledge of cannabis operations. This role involves supervising, training, hiring, rotating, and, when necessary, terminating personnel. The supervisor will also be responsible for disciplinary actions, completing administrative paperwork, and communicating employee performance concerns (e.g., job performance issues, poor attendance) to the Fulfillment Manager. Additionally, the Production Operations Supervisor will ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, including employees, supervisors, managers, and executives. This individual must lead by example and be an advocate of the Sungrown Employee Handbook.
This position requires a minimum of 50 hours per week on-site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, hire, rotate, and terminate personnel as needed.
- Enforce company policies and discipline employees when necessary.
- Complete and maintain all required administrative paperwork.
- Communicate employee performance issues, such as lack of job performance or poor attendance, to the Fulfillment Manager.
- Oversee the oil filling process, ensuring production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Manage raw material procurement and inventory to ensure continuous production.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet required standards.
- Coordinates with the Warehouse Distribution Team to ensure timely and accurate order is fulfilled.
- Supervise the receiving, storage, and distribution of finished products.
- Oversee the packaging process, including prepping, sealing, and applying Vendor Delivery Labels (VDL).
- Ensure accurate picking and packing of orders for shipment.
- Conduct quality checks on packed orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities to streamline production and fulfillment processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement process improvements and automation to enhance productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and mentor the Oil Filling Team and Warehouse Packaging Team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in production or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and implement process improvements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is required
Physical Requirements
