Job Summary
The Receptionist and Scheduler plays a vital role in our home care company, serving as the first point of contact for clients, caregivers, and visitors. This individual is responsible for managing the front desk, scheduling client care, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities
- Reception:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, providing accurate information and taking messages as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Scheduling:
- Coordinate and schedule caregiver visits, ensuring appropriate matching of client needs and caregiver availability.
- Manage and update the scheduling calendar, making adjustments as necessary.
- Communicate scheduling changes and updates to clients and caregivers in a timely manner.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of client and caregiver records.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Provide general administrative support to the office team.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required to serve immediate client needs.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card: Required upon completion of new-hire paperwork.
- TB Test: TB Test within the past 12 months.
- Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday
Work Environment
Caregivers typically work in clients' homes, which can vary in size and layout. The work can be physically demanding, requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
