Job Title: Logistics Coordinator – Plant Liaison
Department: Operations
Reports to: TBD

Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator – Plant Liaison serves as the key point of contact between the manufacturing plant, logistics teams, and customers. This role ensures the seamless coordination of production schedules, shipping logistics, and customer expectations to maintain efficient operations and on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in logistics, customer service, or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between plant operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure on-time shipping and delivery.
- Communicate order status, delays, and shipping updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage and resolve logistics-related issues, including shipment discrepancies, delays, and inventory shortages.
- Work with transportation carriers and warehouses to ensure smooth shipping processes and resolve any issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards in logistics and plant coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and customer communications.
- Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with teams to enhance efficiency.
- Utilize ERP systems, order tracking tools, and reporting software to manage logistics and production updates.
- Support plant teams by relaying customer needs, special requests, and any necessary order modifications.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Experience: 2 years in logistics, supply chain, customer service, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), and logistics tracking software.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve shipping and inventory issues.
- Knowledge of freight carriers, shipping regulations, and logistics best practices is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a plant/manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with order management, supply chain processes, and vendor coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Possess or have ability to become forklift certified
- South Carolina Drivers License or equivalent
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets.
REASONING ABILITY:
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The performance of this position requires exposure to the warehouse areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and foot protection. The employee is frequently exposed to hot, humid, and cold conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is moderate
