Job Title: Part-Time Cleaner – Warehouse

Job Location: Greensboro, NC

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Facilities Manager

Job Overview:

The Part-Time Cleaner for the Warehouse is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the warehouse. This includes cleaning floors, restrooms, storage areas, and any other warehouse spaces to ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment. The position is part-time, and the hours will be flexible, depending on the warehouse schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Cleaning:
   • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in warehouse areas, aisles, running scrubber, dusting racks and storage spaces.
   • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
   • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
   • Clean windows, doors, and walls as needed.
   • Dust and clean office areas, break rooms, and any common spaces.
2. Sanitation and Hygiene:
   • Ensure that the warehouse environment is sanitized regularly, focusing on high-touch surfaces.
   • Clean equipment, shelving units, and other warehouse fixtures.
   • Clean and sanitize employee break areas, including wiping down tables, counters, and chairs.
3. Stocking and Supplies:
   • Replenish cleaning supplies in the warehouse as needed.
   • Maintain an organized storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies.
4. Safety and Compliance:
   • Follow all safety protocols and procedures for cleaning and handling cleaning materials.
   • Report any safety hazards (e.g., spills, broken equipment) to management immediately.
   • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in areas requiring higher cleanliness standards.
5. Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
   • Clean and disinfect any specialized areas in the warehouse, such as temperature-controlled areas (if applicable).
   • Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed, such as during inventory counts or warehouse maintenance.
6. Other Duties:
   • Assist with organizing warehouse inventory if necessary.
   • Report any maintenance needs or equipment issues to the warehouse supervisor.
   • And any other task requested

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred, but not required.
• Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules and maintain cleanliness without constant supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to bend, kneel, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may include exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position, with flexible hours depending on the warehouse needs.
• Possible weekend or evening shifts, depending on the operational schedule.
