Our Community Development team is hiring!
Typical hours are 8am-4 : 30pm and will include some evening and weekend hours. Must be able to train at our Administrative Offices in Latham, NY.
Daily role will require driving to our Community Business Partners sites. Will have an office at our Mohegan Lake, NY financial center, located at 3563 Mohegan Ave.
Starting pay, $85-95k based on experience.
Build relationships through membership growth and product penetration. Responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities. This position supports the Credit Union's financial objectives by educating Community Business Partners (CBP) members and potential members (employed by CBPs) about financial service options that are aligned with their needs.
- Cultivate and maintain all facets of employer group relationships to increase wallet share. Manages and leads onsite Credit Union enrollment meetings, events and / or seminars relating to expanding service use within employer groups.
- Work with our financial centers and other departments to identify market and CBP trends and marketing opportunities. Monitor competitive strategies and make recommendations in support of increasing sales and membership.
- Participate in frequent networking & professional events to enhance the credit union's awareness in the community.
Candidates should have a minimum of high school diploma / GED equivalent, degree preferred. Solid understanding of financial products, procedures, and regulations. A minimum of 3 years demonstrated ability within business development, or sales including the ability to motivate and influence others to take action. MS Office proficiency. Must be able to effectively educate, negotiate, and present information to a wide range of audiences.
