This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Production of precast concrete products (cleaning and oiling forms, placement of steel reinforcement, pouring and finishing concrete, packaging, yarding, and loading product, etc.)
- Operate concrete mixers and other related machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of job by setting up forms and ensuring proper alignment for concrete pours.
- Mix concrete according to specifications and ensure consistency in texture and quality.
- Pre and post inspection of products and forms.
- Safe operation of forklifts, skid steers, and overhead cranes.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Setting up forms for custom precast products following blueprints.
- Pour, spread, and finish concrete surfaces, including driveways, sidewalks, and foundations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Participate in renovation projects that may involve framing carpentry or metal stud framing.
- Assist with roofing tasks when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to stucco application or renovation processes.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, squat, bend, reach, grasp, lift, load, push, and pull throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times daily.
- Basic hand and power tool knowledge.
