Requirements
- Experience: At least five (5) years experience of demonstrated progressive advancement in various management roles in Nursing. At minimum, three (3) years prior experience as a CNO .
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated continuous education to enhance management skills, financial skills, and interpersonal relationship skills. Basic computer operating skills (work processing and spreadsheets). Demonstration of good communication skills.
- Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching and stretching required during the normal course of the day. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
Summary
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the management of the Department of Nursing Service. Responsible for integrating the activities of the Department of Nursing Service with other hospital Departments. Responsible for supporting the Mission of Astria Toppenish Hospital. Serves as a member of the Administrative Team to implement established objectives. Acts as an advocate for Nursing Service. Represents the Hospital, Administration, and the Department of Nursing Service in a positive, professional manner in the community. Maintains current Washington State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
