Job Title: Gatehouse Attendant
Location: 3935 Sunnyside Drive Harrisonburg VA 22801
Hours: Part-time options available. Days and Hours vary. The position is for primarily for night shift availability, but must be comfortable to work day shift if need be. Weekend rotation availability is required.
Position Overview & General Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to greet and interact with all residents, visitors, and team members who come onto Sunnyside's campus. You will play a key role in maintaining the safety of the campus by ensuring all who enter have the appropriate vehicle tag and/or permission to come onto campus. The primary responsibilities of our gatehouse attendant are to permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor the entrance and exit for our community. In this role, you will support the safety of the community through watchful eyes and report any concerns to the appropriate person. Your interactions with residents, their families, and both current and potential employees impact their experience with us. You can make a great impact by providing campus maps, directions, and a smile as they drive off to their destination!

Requirements
- Valid Virginia Driver's licensure is required as you may patrol the campus in a Sunnyside owned vehicle.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to identify potential critical issues quickly.
- Attention to detail is required in order to provide highest level of security possible.
- Someone in this role needs to be self-motivated and proactive.
Physical and Environment Considerations:
- Work is completed both indoor and outdoor.
- Environment will be affected by weather and temperatures outside.
- This position has the potential to require standing for an extended amount of time or going from sitting to standing frequently.
