Sunrise Engineering is currently initiating a search for a full-time Electrical Engineer to support our growing organization. This Full Time position is based in our Mesa, Arizona office during our business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

A Day in the Life of an Electrical Engineer

As a Electrical Engineer at Sunrise Engineering, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects. The Sunrise Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls department supports all internal Sunrise Civil Engineering departments as well as external clients.  We perform electrical consultation and design on a wide range of projects including municipal capital improvement projects, commercial building design, industrial processing, power studies, and much more!

Your day-to-day activities may include:

• Prepare original drawings and revisions of electrical engineering projects using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software.
• Professionally manage projects to ensure that expectations are met and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Spearhead efforts to establish strong client management and business development opportunities in the area.
• Assist other engineers and inspectors in the field gathering project information.
• Provide technical support to other engineers and junior staff as needed.
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Some basic qualifications for success include:

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering coupled with strong CAD experience.
• Demonstrated a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical design experience.
• Proven strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
• Preferred candidates will have experience with designing high-voltage distribution systems, substations and electrical system modeling using ETAP/SKM Power Tools for Windows.

Qualifications

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
