Job Summary And Qualifications
- You will provide leadership for the Child Life staff ensuring quality and integrity of care delivered and supervise the daily operations and activities of the child life staff
- You will plan, guide, and oversee clinical programs that are age and developmentally appropriate for ages up 0-17 years and their families
- You will assure program compliance with hospital and regulatory/accrediting agencies and on-going continuous quality improvement processes in which the team analyzes data and formulates methods in response to identified needs/problems/challenges
- You will be responsible for the overall coordination of Child Life Services and report to/ work with the Pediatric Nurse Manager to ensure Child Life Services are integrated within the organization
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years Child life experience
- Child life certification by the Child life council
- BLS certified
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures as well as knowledge of reactions of children and families to illness and healthcare experience
