Sunrise Retirement is seeking an enthusiastic Full Time Household Liaison to work in our nursing neighborhoods.

The Household Liaison will be primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, neighborhood kitchen and dining areas, as well as community spaces including bathrooms, meeting rooms and hallways.
The Household Liaison will also help with dining during meals and assisting residents to and from activities and as needed within their scope of practice.
Qualifications
1) Able to perform cleaning procedures and to observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
2) Able to follow directions.
3) Able to assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment and to be able to identify and report any equipment malfunction or any observed area in poor repair to the supervisor.
4) Able to dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.
5) Able assist with laundry duties.
6) Able to attend in-service training programs for Housekeeping employees.
7) Able to observe infection control procedures related to the Housekeeping Department and to follow facility safety program.
8) Able to follow Resident’s Rights policies at all times.
9) Assist with transporting residents to and from dining room for meals.
10) Prepares for meal service by putting protective covers on residents, setting dining tables, preparing drinks for residents, taking orders and serving residents. Clean dining room including dishes, tables and floor after meals.
11) Serves food/coffee, and acts as a host/hostess to provide warmth of the family with the service of a nice restaurant. Joins residents in dining to encourage socialization and to develop relationships.
12) Offer snacks to residents in between meals and document snack intake.
13) Ensure the cleanliness and attractive appearance of the neighborhood.
14) Completes housekeeping service as assigned both in common spaces and in resident rooms, following established schedules and policies/procedures.
15) Works effectively as a part of a neighborhood team accepting responsibility of work related tasks, sharing workload with the other team members. Always carry a pager to be informed of when other team members and /or residents and tenants need assistance.
16) Cleans, sanitizes and straightens residents rooms as instructed.
17) Assist CNA’s and activity staff by transporting residents to and from activities including church on Sundays and stay with residents throughout service to help with social hour afterwards.
18) Accommodates residents needs through responding appropriately to resident’s verbal/nonverbal expression of needs.
19) Able to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality and to accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
20) Able to assume responsibility for data contained in the employee handbook.
21) Able to perform other related duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
1) Frequently lifts up to 35 pounds.
2) Frequently pushes/pulls housekeeping carts and moves furniture in performing daily duties.
3) Frequently uses finger dexterity and grasping with fingers in the performance of daily duties.
4) Frequently uses repetitive movements, reaches, stoops, kneels, and crouches in the performance of daily duties.
5) Frequently required to climb and to maintain one’s balance in the performance of daily duties.
