We are seeking an exceptional Director of Nursing/Resident Care Director to lead our resident care services. This role requires a skilled leader who can work collaboratively with various departments to ensure our residents receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of wellness/resident care initiatives that promote resident quality of life, working closely with each department to coordinate care and services.
- Oversee the management of medication aides and nurses, as well as partner with colleagues responsible for certified nursing assistants.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws to promote the health and wellness of our resident population.
- Deliver clinical care through direct application of the wellness process, including performing and documenting resident assessments, creating Individualized Service Plans, and evaluating resident outcomes.
- Oversight of the community medication management program to guarantee resident safety during the medication use process.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for our residents.
- Provide clinical training and education to nurses, medication aides, certified nursing assistants, care managers, and others who provide resident care.
- Track, trend, and report clinical quality data to identify risk, participating actively in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement committee.
Qualifications:
- RN license; one year of experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.
- Nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and/or daily operations supervision, is also preferred.
- Experience tracking, trending, and analyzing clinical performance data is highly desirable.
