Resident Advocate Job Description
The Resident Advocate at Sunrise Senior Living is responsible for advocating for the rights and dignity of our residents. This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for residents' rights and dignity, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Notify management of changes in condition and recommend adjustments in the level of care and service
- Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and promote risk management programs and policies
- Encourage residents to participate in life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on their individual profile
Qualifications:
- Dedication to serving seniors with excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude and flexibility to perform various duties in service to residents and ability to work in a team environment
- High School diploma/GED accepted and may be required per state regulations
- In states where appropriate, must maintain certifications
