Responsibilities and Qualifications
The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing high-quality care and services to our residents by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Conduct Service and Health Updates (SHUs) to ensure resident well-being
- Document medication administration and any resident concerns
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director (RCD) and Wellness Nurse to review medication updates
- Ensure accurate and timely medication passes
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) credential
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
