The Social Media Program Lead partners with communities to develop and execute non-paid social media strategies that generate interest from potential residents and their families while strengthening Sunrise Senior Living’s online presence. Working closely with marketing, community teams and external parties, the role ensures that social media efforts effectively showcase the Sunrise experience and foster meaningful one-on-one interactions that nurture prospective residents and their families. Additionally, the Social Media Program Lead manages the main Sunrise social media page along with multiple community pages, curates and sources engaging lifestyle content and optimizes social engagement tactics to increase awareness, build a community base and ultimately drive lead generation while positioning Sunrise as a leader in senior living.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:• Partner with individual community leaders, as well as marketing team members, to develop and execute social media strategies that drive lead generation, increase awareness and build a community base• Manage social media content across multiple platforms, including posting event information on community pages (e.g., Meta, Google Business Profile and other local platforms) and supporting strategic communication team efforts by coordinating/posting content on corporate social media handles• Plan, create and post high-quality, engaging, on-brand content across all platforms, starting with Facebook and potentially expanding to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube• Develop a distinct voice for each platform that resonates with target audiences while maintaining overall brand consistency• Ensure social media content is aligned with the Sunrise website, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for integrating digital content across channels for a cohesive user experience• Collaborate with regional marketing managers, copywriters and other team members to source, develop and curate content (e.g., photos, videos and stories) and share content best practices within the organization• Collaborate with creative and video production teams to produce multimedia content such as graphics, videos and GIFs• Foster positive relationships with social media users through active engagement, responding to comments, reviews and inquiries on community Facebook pages, brand pages and posts in a timely, professional manner• Provide individualized social media support to prioritized communities, tailoring content and engagement tactics based on their unique needs, goals and target audiences to maximize lead generation opportunities• Help evaluate social media tools to better manage social media across multiple platforms and create a centralized dashboard for scheduling posts, analyzing performance and engaging with audiences• Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met• Perform other duties as assigned Core Competencies: • Experience with proposing, advocating for and executing social media strategies that align with organizational goals, drive engagement and support business objectives• Strong creative oversight, visual and narrative storytelling skills to support social media campaigns and a proven ability to tailor strategies to meet the needs of both corporate and individual pages• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with designers, team members and customers to create engaging, high-quality content• Proven skill in fostering strong online communities by engaging with users in a timely, professional manner, managing conversations, responding to inquiries and maintaining a positive brand image across social media platforms• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, prioritize tasks and balance the demands of short-term initiatives with long-term goals• Proficient in utilizing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights) to track, analyze, and report on social media KPIs and translating that data into actionable insights to optimize content strategies and adjust tacticsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field, or equivalent professional experience• At least four (4) years of relevant experience in social media channel management and marketing, with a focus on Facebook and Instagram• Strong creative skills, with a proven ability to develop and edit engaging social media content, including posts, tagging, linking and image integration, that aligns with brand and audience needs• Forward-thinking and creative, with a proven ability to develop innovative content strategies and stay ahead of emerging trends to continuously evolve Sunrise’s social media presence and tactics• Demonstrated expertise in social media channel management, with a deep understanding of platform-specific nuances and best practices• Demonstrated experience using social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Emplifi) to streamline and scale social media efforts• Familiarity with SEO principles and local listings and a related understanding of how content contributes to search optimization is preferred• Basic photo and image editing skills, with a keen eye for visual quality and content optimization• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight combined with a strong ability to collaborate with internal and external creative teams to support content development• Strong project management skills, with the ability to create, organize and manage a complex calendar of social media posts and campaigns
