About the Program:
Sunrise Services is a social services agency that focuses on providing for the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals in our community. We provide caregiving services, mental health resources, vocational services, and much more! Our work is dedicated to serving those who are elderly, disabled, or have mental health challenges.
The Administrative Clerk will greet and provide great customer support to callers, clients, vendors, and others. Schedule appointments, assemble and maintain charts, and perform other administrative functions in support of clinicians and prescribers. Ensure quality data integrity, data security, and accurate data entry by adhering to established Sunrise Community Mental Health (SCMH) policies and procedures within the administrative and data functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Advise clinicians, prescribers and other staff of the arrival of clients and visitors.
- Transfer client and other calls promptly to clinicians, prescribers and other staff.
- Perform administrative functions related to client intake and continuation of services: client registration, appointment scheduling, and chart creation.
- Perform accurate data entry and scanning using established quality management guidelines.
- Coordinate with Provider One and insurance companies
- Ensure and promote client privacy in accordance with applicable regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Perform additional security related duties as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule: M - F, 8 - 5
Essential Requirements:(Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prefer medical office experience including medical data entry.
- Other Considerations:
- DSHS background clearance required.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills required. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other applicable statues, or the ability and willingness to learn regulatory guidelines.
- Knowledge of medical coding as well as basic medical terminology.
- Exercise strict confidentiality in the performance of daily tasks.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards of practice.
- Follow systems for chart layout, flow and storage.
- Possess chart review skills, and quickly and accurately review new patient charts for completeness.
Compensation:
· $19/hour
· Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
