About the Program:
The Supported Living Program (SL) provides community living services for adults with a wide range of disabilities and mental health challenges. The SL program promotes self-determination, independence, and competence for clients. The Matching Specialist will match Direct Support Professionals with program clients. Primary duties include tracking and scheduling training and compliance for Direct Support Professionals (DSP), creating and maintaining master and real time schedules, and coordinating with our Direct Care Supervisors (DCS), Program Managers (PM), and Program Director to ensure client’s staffing needs are met at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities: (Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies. May not include all duties of this job)
- Match direct support professionals (DSP’s) to clients who fit their schedules and personalities
- Organize trainings for direct support professionals to maintain their caregiver licensure
- Coordinate any scheduling vacancies with available staff and supervisors
- Review hiring packets from recently hired potential Direct Support Professional candidates
- Submit and track background checks for new and existing DSP hires. Follow up with DSP with any concerns with the submitted background check. Assist HR with background check renewals, retrieving additional information required by the Background Check Unit to ensure compliance.
- Ability to conduct progressive discipline with new DSP staff while in training period and withdraw offers of employment when Direct Support Professional candidates do not meet specific program requirements. Complete separation paperwork as needed.
- Assess and evaluate the unique staffing requirements of each individual client by working closely with the supported living team.
- Understand that the emphasis when matching a DSP to a client will be to optimize self-determination, personal choice, personal and community status, interpersonal relationships, preventive health, and safety for the client.
- Assess, track, and schedule all required employee trainings as guided by the WAC. Track changes to training curriculums. Efficiently track recurrent trainings
- Process various paperwork such as training documentation, leave requests, and orientations.
- Create and maintain accurate staff schedules of the Supported Living, and AFH sites based on DSP availability, qualifications, and client needs. Monitor DSP overtime.
- Fill open shifts that have been vacated due to Call-ins, Leave Requests, Resignations, Drop Shifts, and Administrative Leaves etc. on a daily and/or a weekly basis.
- Utilize UKG to approve all DSP timesheets, run reports, monitor overtime, and report fraudulent activity. Conduct hands-on UKG training and retraining with DSP staff.
- Facilitating behavioral management meetings with DCS, Program Manager, and Behavior Techs to assess the ever-changing needs of Sunrise Clients. Working together to create effective and creative staffing plans to attempt to minimize and support Client’s challenging behaviors, monitor and support changing medical needs of the clients, and environmental changes that may occur.
- Train and assist new Client/Staff Matching Specialists in Sunrise Policy & Procedure as well as the Staffing Department procedures.
- Exercise sound judgment in rapidly changing and challenging circumstances. Respond quickly to unanticipated and frequent shift vacancies. Assess and evaluate shifting client needs as well as the skills, abilities, and qualifications of employees and candidates.
- Ability to work well in a team based setting, utilizing team coordination and cohesion to ensure the clients we serve have appropriate staffing coverage at all times.
Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or other appropriate field preferred. Two years of experience in human services or in staffing or scheduling field required. Any other acceptable combination of education and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.

Other Considerations:
- DSHS background clearance required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to approximately 10 pounds
- Able to operate personal computer, as well as standard calculator to perform simple math functions.
- Skill using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access software. Ability to learn and utilize scheduling and other essential software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Must be detail oriented, and have strong organization skills as well as time-management, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an ever-changing, fast paced environment.
- Must be creative, flexible, and dependable and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Ability to work well with diverse populations essential. Able to establish and maintain appropriate and professional working relationships with peers, staff, supervisors, and clients.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p
Hybrid schedule possible after successful completion of 90-day orientation.
Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation:
- $22.00 - $24.00/hour
- Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
