THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM POSITION
Duties and Responsibilities :
Act as a primary technical resource for PeopleSoft incidents and service requests, collaborate with stakeholders to meticulously gather and analyze requirements for Peoplesoft application modifications.
Design and develop customizations, integrations, and enhancements within the Peoplesoft environment.
Assist in system upgrades, patches, and migrations as necessary.
Familiarize yourself with various software products used across the City to identify potential interfaces to meet client needs.
Write clean, efficient code that adheres to company standards and best practices.
Conduct thorough unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure applications meet functional and performance requirements.
Typical Qualifications :
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or directly related field and two years of experience related to assignment.
Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Understanding of Peoplesoft architecture, modules, and components.
Proficiency in PeopleTools (PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, etc.).
Experience with Peoplesoft Fluid User Interface development is a plus.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex problems and deliver creative solutions.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Familiarity with JavaScript scripting
Ability to quickly learn new technologies
Effective communication and collaborative skills
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or other ERP / HRIS systems
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on solving complex problems.
Demonstrate strong analytical abilities to identify potential issues and propose innovative solutions.
