What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caldera Springs Maintenance Tech I position at Sunriver Resort?
Overview
The Maintenance Tech I repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, physical structures and electrical wiring and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, manuals, building codes and company maintenance policy. They will work to create a positive team environment, as well as achieving optimum performance. The Maintenance Tech I will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.
The Maintenance Tech I will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort:Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair, and appearance of all physical property
- Investigates failures in equipment and make required repairs
- Communicate and work directly with subcontractors to make larger repairs
- Performs preventative maintenance and repair tasks on equipment including furnaces, air handlers, boilers, hot water heaters, kitchen equipment, and other machinery
- Completes the installation of appliances including range cooktops, microwaves, dishwashers, and kitchen disposals
- Performs light plumbing repairs on fixtures pr piping including sinks, showers, tubs, hot water heaters, kitchen equipment and their associated components
- Performs light electrical repairs on fixtures or wiring (120V) including lamps, fans, switches/dimmers, kitchen equipment and their associated components
- Performs light repairs to woodwork, drywall, and finish work
- Comply with all Sunriver policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Assist Housekeeping with unit cleaning and other related tasks as needed
- Assist Caldera Springs Resort Engineering with snow removal, building maintenance and grounds maintenance as needed
- Performs other work related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing experience required
- Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must have valid Oregon Driver’s license and meet company driving standards
- Must be able to work with power operated landscaping equipment
- Must have excellent leadership skills
- Must be able to act with a high level of autonomy
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (rain, sleet, ice, snow and heat)
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have excellent listening skills
- Must possesses excellent communication skills
- Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must always ensure a teamwork environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
