Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for Kitchen Workers/Dishwashers to join our team!
The Kitchen Worker/Dishwasher is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen facilities and dinnerware, working knowledge of kitchen equipment, and proper chemical usage. Be part of the heart of the house for our amazing Food & Beverage offerings!
All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures.
Job Duties
- Receives soiled dinnerware, flatware and glassware. Places items according to size and likeness on automatic dishwashing conveyor belt in appropriate racks
- Removes washed dinnerware, flatware and glassware from automatic dishwasher and stacks items according to size and likeness for future use
- Returns items not satisfactorily cleaned for a second wash
- Operates dishwashing machines and maintains working order of machines.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, scrubs and cleans walls, working tables, equipment, trash cans, and floor mats
- Picks up trash from all kitchens, loading dock and trash compactor areas
- Maintains cleanliness of loading dock trash compactor areas
- Proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
- The ability to follow all department policies and procedure.
- Performs other job-related duties as needed
Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates. - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a kitchen worker or dishwasher in a restaurant, kitchen or hotel/resort setting
Other Minimum Requirements
- Bilingual with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English preferred.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
- Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
