School Bus Drivers (Special Needs, Regular ED, Substitutes, Charter, Sports & Field Trips)

• Clean complete (Non-Certified) driving record - from every state you held a license
• Clean Criminal Background - processed by Carroll County Schools Transportation Department
• Be able to pass a DOT physical (1 year school bus physical)
• Be at least 21 years of age (to meet DOT requirements for passenger & interstate travel)
• Be dependable (on time)
• Flexible Schedule - most bus routes run in AM & PM with a mid-day (off the clock) break between the morning and afternoon bus runs
• Guaranteed minimum 6 hours per scheduled full route school day
• Must be able to report back to work if schools need to dismiss early
• NO Previous experience or special skills required
• Classes and Training are FREE for Class B CDL school Bus license
• Employment is 180 Days (school year) - Most drivers are off during the Summer (unemployment is an option as long as employees/drivers are able and available to work if work is available)
• Additional Charter, Sports, and Field trips Available - may include nights or weekends
• Attendance bonus is available - some eligibility requirements must be met (paid at end of school year - usually at end of June or 1st week in July)
• Safety Bonus is available - some eligibility requirements must be met (paid at end of school year - usually at end of June or 1st week in July)
• Sign-on Bonus $1000.00 (only for full route drivers who drive same bus in the AM & PM every scheduled day) - other eligibility requirements must also be met
• Sick & Safe Leave Pay is available - some requirements must be met

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2,000.00 - $33,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 3 – 40 per week
