What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Needs School Bus Assistant position at Sunset Bus Lines, LLC.?
Looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to assist in communication of student needs to appropriate school and transportation personnel. Also will need to monitor student's safety, help with boarding students & securing wheelchairs (as needed), assist with bus evacuations during emergencies. Occasionally assist substitute bus drivers with verbal driving directions. Filling out student logs and assisting with route manifests.
- All training is provided for FREE - No Experience Needed
- Clean Criminal Background - processed by Carroll County Schools Transportation Department
- Be dependable (on time)
- Full Route School Bus Aides - Monday thru Friday (mornings and Afternoons)
- Substitute School Bus Aides - (as needed)
- Flexible Schedule (bus routes run in AM & PM with a mid-day break between the morning and afternoon bus runs)
- Must be able to report back to work if schools need to dismiss early
- FREE Training provided by CCPS Transportation Dept.
- Employment is 180 Days (school year) - Some Special Needs bus runs also operate during the Summer (about 5 weeks) with a time off before and after the scheduled summer runs.
- Unemployment is an option (as long as employees are able and available to work if work is available)
- Sick & Safe Leave Pay is available - some requirements must be met
