Job Description
Job Title : Skilled Nursing RN
Job Specialty : Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing
Job Duration : Direct Hire Position Only
Shift : 12-hour Days, 6 : 00am - 6 : 30pm
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of 3 months in a Long-Term Care setting
License : RN licensure for state of practice is required
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Job Description :
- Provide care to assigned residents in a caring, safe, and efficient manner, following location standards, procedures, and individualized resident care plans.
- Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate a plan of care for residents in pertinent areas.
- Administer medications and treatments as per the care plan and make changes as needed.
- Safeguard residents' property and maintain self-esteem, privacy, and confidentiality of personal information.
- Provide residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans.
- Maintain safe, pleasant, and orderly resident living areas.
- Process physicians' orders and notify physicians in a timely manner.
- Observe residents; direct and document care provided; receive and share information; report conditions to appropriate staff.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights.
- Direct and assist with resident, family / significant other education.
- Accurately utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Use transfer equipment and handling techniques safely, ensuring residents feel secure.
- Demonstrate knowledge of department-specific safety, fire, and disaster plans.
- Comply with all related laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures related to the position.
- Perform other duties as required, as duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.
Physical / Mental Requirements :
The position requires the ability to frequently communicate, observe, assess, and detect information. The ability to maintain a stationary position, move, and position oneself in response to job tasks is required. Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Weight lifting requirement : 35 lbs.
Work Environment :
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, and the frequency of travel may vary based on business needs.
