We are currently searching for a Compassionate Social Worker for our Boutique Hospice.
We are looking for a caring social worker to help our organization reach out to different groups of people to ensure we provide a superior service. Your tasks will include providing information and support, advocating for social justice and offering help in crisis situations. We want you to build strong relationships with clients and work as part of a team. Excellent communication skills will be necessary as you’ll need to gather information from clients and provide support to both children and adults. Our ideal candidate will have a degree in social work, experience with supporting vulnerable groups, excellent communication skills and a commitment to the principles of social justice.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Assess client needs and identify goals and objectives to prevent future social problems from developing.
- Assist clients in achieving the goals they set out to achieve through counseling, support, guidance and referrals.
- Monitor progress of clients and intervene when necessary.
- Perform assessments to determine client eligibility for various programs or services.
- Accompany and support clients when needed.
- Conduct data analysis, prepare reports and make recommendations.
- Identify, explore and resolve client problems.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel etc. on a regular basis.
- Negotiate with other agencies on behalf of clients.
- Coordinate with community partners regarding services available to clients.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour
