As the Director, Operations at Sunset Transportation, you will play a critical role in ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the VP of Operations to oversee the day-to-day functions of our operations teams, making strategic decisions that align with the company's goals and values. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of our logistics teams, ensuring they meet performance targets and uphold Sunset’s operational standards.
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members in various departments, including Customer Service, Carrier Sales, and Carrier Procurement.
Develop and execute strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team productivity.
Serve as the escalation point for internal and external operational issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive communication and process alignment.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment in line with Sunset’s core values.
What We’re Looking For:
5-7 years of experience in transportation, freight brokerage, or logistics operations.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts effectively.
A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation industry trends.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
