Position Summary
SE’s core programs are the Community Business Academy (CBA) and Business Acceleration Services (BAS). The CBA is a twelve-session, 36-hour interactive course in business basics. The core of the BAS program is business coaching. Sunshine Enterprises is seeking business coaches to support our Construction clients. The Construction Trades coach position will work with graduates of SE who have Construction or property management businesses or businesses in a related industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
Attend CBA Instructor Training
• Provide 60-minute coaching sessions as lead coach with assigned Construction and Trade clients
• Provide 60-minute coaching and technical assistance coaching sessions with additional participants referred by Sunshine Enterprises.
• Assist the clients with strategies and tactics to achieve goal-orientated outcomes to help support the growth or launch of the client’s business, in person, through the phone or an online platform.
• Coaching clients within a specified timeframe to achieve identified goals within the coaching program.
• Connect clients to partners for access to capital, legal services, and other business growth opportunities.
• Submit coaching forms within the allotted time frame.
• Participate in discussions regarding individuals in the Construction and Trade or group coaching.
• Work with Sunshine Enterprises to continue to development industry specific coaching content
• All other as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities

• 5-10 years of running a construction trades business and/or coaching construction trades businesses
• Strong desire to help entrepreneurs that can be representative of marginalized, low to moderate income, and at-risk populations become economically self-sufficient
• Expertise working with a wide range of construction materials and equipment, familiarity with building process, from project initiation through completion
• Strong oral and written communications skills and emotional intelligence
• Experience with group and / or individual coaching
• Strong knowledge of the South Side and the Construction Trades industry
Minimum Education and Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education, licensure and/or experience:
• 5-10 years experience running a construction trades business
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
• Knowledge and relationships of the small business resources for construction, property management and other business related industries including layout, design, permits, site plans and budgets
• Coaching certification preferred, but not required
