Position Summary
This entry-level position is ideal for someone passionate about child welfare, compliance, and hands-on work in a residential care setting. The Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist supports the administration and operations teams by ensuring children's files are accurate, health appointments are tracked, medication logs are properly maintained, and unannounced house visits are conducted to ensure safety and documentation compliance. This role also supports our life skills program for older youth by participating in on-site trainings and contributes to transportation safety by reviewing our fleet of agency vans during inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Compliance:
Review children’s files regularly to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with DCS and licensing standards. - Medication Oversight:
Audit medication records for documentation errors, proper signatures, and any missed dosages. Provide timely feedback to house staff and help ensure medication practices follow agency policy. - Site Inspections:
Conduct both scheduled and unannounced inspections of group homes to review documentation, observe daily practices, and check home safety standards. Audit the fleet of agency vans to ensure they meet cleanliness, safety, and registration requirements. - Appointment Tracking:
Confirm that all required medical, dental, vision, and therapy appointments are completed and properly documented. Follow up on any missed or rescheduled visits to ensure compliance. - Reporting & Follow-Up:
Maintain clear documentation of all audits and inspections. Communicate findings to leadership and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner. - Training Support:
Provide on-the-spot coaching and guidance to house staff during visits, helping ensure proper documentation practices, medication protocols, and licensing expectations are followed. - Life Skills Engagement:
Support on-site life skills activities for older youth, helping to deliver training in areas such as organizing personal records, attending medical appointments, or managing daily responsibilities.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently, travel locally, and interact respectfully with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based documentation systems
