Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated DUI Level I and II Instructor to join our DUI School Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and informing clients of the dangers of Driving While Under The Influence. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons regarding the negative effects of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and active participation.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in human services, criminal justice, adult or secondary education, traffic safety, nursing, or a doctorate in medicine (M.D.)from a recognized university is required.
- Possess a minimum of 4,000 hours of experience in human services, criminal justice, education, traffic safety, or medical care (Level 1 Instructor).
- A Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) status, a Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional (CCJAP) status or 14,000 hours of experience in human services, but shall not preclude the requirement for a minimum bachelor's degree.
- Level 2 Instructor- 250 hours of group experience (along with Level 1 Requirements)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes and classroom management.
- A passion for teaching in a Substance Abuse Environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
